Quezon City, Philippines — Sarah Geronimo premiered her new album on national TV for the first time yesterday, Sunday, at top rating TV musical variety show A.S.A.P.
Sarah unveiled her latest album entitled “The Great Unknown,” with with an assured performance of the carrier track “Tala.”
With a pair of G-Force dancers behind her executing some edgy moves, Sarah sang the new song with relish, obviously enjoying the fact that she has just released her fourteenth album overall and celebrating it with a brand new all-original set. “Tala” — an upbeat, pop and dance track, was written by Nica Del Rosario and Emmanuel Sambayan and produced by Bojam De Belen. During the course of Sarah’s performance, an image of a rather pensive, serious looking Sarah in utopian drag, was flashing at A.S.A.P.’s studio 10 overhead screens and customized stage set up–the album cover art of “The Great Unknown.”
After the performance, Sarah was interviewed by friend and A.S.A.P. co-host Piolo Pascual who greeted and congratulated Sarah with a bouquet of flowers. Geronimo thanked her Viva Records and A.S.A.P. family, and the supportive Popsters during the Piolo interview, of which we found out a couple of things about the album.
“The Great Unknown” has 10 songs, all-original and includes a couple of guest artists with Hale making a first time appearance on the title-track. Yeng Constantino also appears on “Kaibigan Mo.” Two-time Philpop songwriting winners Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana also contributes in “Misteryo.”
Sarah also announced that the album is exclusively distributed at all Odyssey Music and Odyssey Next stores. The record is also available for downloading at iTunes and can be streamed at all music services. Finally, Sarah Geronimo announced the next stop on her album promo tour, that picks up again in Glorietta 5 on February 6, Saturday and February 12 in Market-Market, Taguig.
